Hand picked, site specific artists pigments. Colored powder pigments contains the history of the place of their origin. Its geologic foundation and particles reflecting the light through this particular material composition in each their own way, as all matter in a statre of transition. Like fragments of compressed time, the result decomposition, eruptions, compression, erosion etc. Situated on the border of a recent landslide, we have seen on close hand the mountains are moving and new chapters and layers in life and in the ground are revealed. As an artist and designer myself I have been traversing the mountains and fields in east Iceland the last 10 years I have been living here, fascinated by its multitude of layers and colors and the found colors have become a still stronger part of my work – and fascination, and the place has its own signature and aura involved in the process.
